Syrian President Writes Quranic Verse in UN Secretary-General's Guestbook
Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa wrote a Quranic verse on Wednesday in the guestbook of the UN Secretary-General during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
In the guestbook, al-Sharaa wrote verse 105 from Surah At-Tawbah, which reads, "And say, 'Do [as you will], for Allah will see your deeds, and [so will] His Messenger and the believers.'"
On Wednesday, Al-Sharaa delivered a speech to the General Assembly, focusing on efforts to unify Syria and begin a new phase of revival, reviewing the achievements in his country over the past year.
The Syrian president is participating in the UN event accompanied by a delegation that includes Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani and other officials.
