Taiz Governor: We will not allow guardianship or tampering with the province's security
Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan affirmed today that the province will not allow the return of what he described as "clerical thought" or the imposition of guardianship over its people and tampering with its security and dignity, stressing that Taiz's security is a "red line not subject to negotiation".
This came during his meeting with a number of sheikhs, dignitaries, notables, and social figures in the Al-Hujariah districts, in the presence of the Director-General of Al-Shamaytayn district, Abdulaziz Al-Shaibani, as part of efforts to enhance national cohesion and unify the internal front to confront the Houthis.
Shamsan praised the role of army units in the Taiz and Tor Al-Baha axes and the Giants Brigades, supported by the popular resistance, in repelling simultaneous infiltration attempts by the Houthis, seeking to reach sites near the vital road linking Taiz, Aden, and Lahj.
The governor listened to a briefing on preparations to support the fronts and enhance internal unity, expressing his thanks to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, for his efforts to unify the military ranks and integrate various formations into a unified operations room under the supervision of the Ministry of Defense.
He also valued the Saudi support for Yemen, led by King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Kingdom's backing of efforts to restore the state.
Shamsan affirmed that Taiz, with its legacy of struggle, coexistence, and reservoir of national cadres, will remain a fortress of steadfastness and will not allow disputes to become a loophole for enemies to exploit.
For their part, the sheikhs and notables of Al-Hujariah affirmed their support for the local authority and state institutions, and their readiness to continue making sacrifices to enhance security and stability and complete the liberation of the province.
