Iran Announces Intention to Close Routes in Strait of Hormuz Soon

Iran's Fars News Agency reported on Wednesday, quoting an advisor to the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, that traffic routes through the Strait of Hormuz found to be illegal will be closed soon.
Mohammad Reza Naqdi said that these few routes were created by blasting and destroying rocky passages in the strategic strait.
He added that the routes were used by small boats to smuggle oil, contradicting the prevailing narrative about the return of Gulf oil shipments passing through the Strait of Hormuz to pre-war levels.
