Foreign Currency Exchange Rates Against Yemeni Rial for Monday, October 12, 2026

Foreign currency exchange rates against the Yemeni rial have remained stable, showing no change during trading on Monday, October 12, 2026, in either Aden or Sana'a, despite the continued rise in commodity prices from time to time and the ongoing battles and military escalation on multiple fronts.
According to the latest data from money exchange shops, the Saudi riyal is exchanged in government-controlled areas for about 414 Yemeni rials, while the exchange rate for the US dollar is about 1570 rials.
In Houthi-controlled areas, the exchange rate for the Saudi riyal and the US dollar remains stable, with the Saudi riyal being exchanged for about 140 Yemeni rials, while the US dollar exchange rate ranges between 530 and 535 rials.
This comes amidst complaints of the continued rise in the prices of goods and services, despite the stability of foreign currency exchange rates in most parts of the country.
The current exchange rates also come in light of the ongoing financial and economic challenges facing both government-controlled and Houthi-controlled areas, in a country experiencing one of the worst humanitarian and economic crises in the world.
