Gold Prices Fall in Sana'a and Aden on Friday, October 30, 2026

Gold prices saw a decrease in Sana'a and Aden on Thursday, despite slight variations from one shop to another.
The price of a gram of 21-karat gold in Aden reached about 173,000 Yemeni rials in the new currency, while in Sana'a it reached about 60,000 rials in the old currency.
As for the gold pound (8 grams of 21-karat gold), it exceeded 1,411,000 rials in Aden, while in Sana'a it surpassed 484,000 rials.
These are the prices for buying from citizens, while they increase slightly when sold to customers, as a profit margin is calculated for each gram of the yellow metal.
The exchange rate of the local currency differs between Houthi-controlled areas and government-controlled areas; the exchange rate for the US dollar in Sana'a is about 535 rials, compared to 1,560 rials in areas under the control of the internationally recognized government.
It is worth noting that gold prices change from time to time, and vary relatively from one shop to another in Yemen's markets, depending on global and local market movement, and supply and demand.
