Houthis Deny Attack Towards Saudi Arabia, Call Mecca Drone Interception Claim "Slanders"

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree denied on Friday that the group carried out any military operation towards the Saudi interior, following the coalition's announcement that it intercepted and destroyed a drone in the airspace of the Mecca region.
Saree said, in a statement published on the "X" platform, that "the Yemeni Armed Forces did not carry out any operation today towards the Saudi interior," describing the announcement of intercepting a drone in Mecca's airspace as a "great and immense slander."
He added that the group's operations target Saudi oil facilities and military bases, claiming that what he described as slanders and lies promoted by the Saudi regime are no longer believed by anyone in the world.
The spokesman for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, Turki Al-Maliki, had earlier announced the interception and destruction of a drone in the Mecca region, which he said was launched by the Houthi group.
