The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity over parts of several governorates within the next 24 hours, warning of flash floods and thunderstorm risks.

According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, thunderstorms of varying intensity are expected over parts of the governorates of Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, and Taiz, as well as parts of the Socotra archipelago, the Tihamah plain, and the western coast.

Scattered showers, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are also possible over parts of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Al Dhale, and the highlands of Lahij, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadhramaut, and Al Mahrah, as well as the eastern and southern coasts and their adjacent inland areas.

The center warned citizens and drivers about flash floods in ravines and valleys, advising against being in or attempting to cross them during and after rainfall.

It also warned of the dangers of thunderstorms and reduced horizontal visibility on roads and in mountainous highlands due to low clouds and fog formation.

The center advised avoiding high places, proximity to trees and tall towers, not using mobile phones, and disconnecting electrical power.
