The national youth football team delegation arrived early Saturday in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, to participate in the qualifiers for the AFC U-17 Asian Cup as part of Group F.

Player Elias Al-Humairi, who recently transferred to the youth ranks of England's Manchester United, has joined the delegation. He was called up by the technical staff after recent monitoring, as his participation in the Gulf Youth Cup in Qatar was not possible due to the procedures for signing his contract with the English club. His inclusion is expected to provide a technical boost to the team during the qualifiers.

Today, the technical coordination meeting for the participating teams was held with tournament observers to discuss organizational and refereeing aspects, and to approve the kits the teams will wear for their matches.

It was decided that our team will play against Mongolia and the Northern Mariana Islands in the red kit, and will wear the white kit in their match against the Kyrgyzstan national team.

The group stage kicks off tomorrow, Sunday, with a match between Mongolia and the Northern Mariana Islands. Our team will begin its qualifying campaign next Wednesday against Mongolia, then face the Northern Mariana Islands in their second match, and conclude their matches against the host country, Kyrgyzstan.

Following the technical meeting, a press conference was held for the coaches of the participating teams. Our national team coach, Captain Anwar Ashour, affirmed the team's readiness to compete strongly for the single qualification spot from the group, which is the team's main goal. He noted that the players are in good technical and physical condition, gained from their participation in the Gulf and West Asia youth championships.

Ashour explained that the team respects all its opponents and does not underestimate any team, expressing his hope that the players will be successful in achieving their desired goal of qualifying for the Asian Cup finals.

For their part, the other coaches reviewed their preparations for the competitions. The Kyrgyz coach confirmed his team's readiness, noting their good knowledge of the Yemeni team and their close monitoring of its recent performance development.

Today, Saturday, our national youth team will limit its activities to light physical training in the hotel lobby, considering the fatigue from travel. They will resume field training as per the preparatory schedule for the qualifiers.
