Foreign Currency Exchange Rates vs. Yemeni Rial on Wednesday, September 20, 2026
Foreign currency exchange rates against the Yemeni Rial remain relatively stable in both Aden and Sana'a, despite the ongoing periodic increases in commodity prices.
According to the latest data from exchange shops, the Saudi Riyal is being exchanged in shops and exchange companies in government-controlled areas for 410 rials, while the US Dollar is being exchanged for about 1560 Yemeni rials.
In today's trading on Wednesday, the Yemeni Rial also continued its stability in Houthi-controlled areas, where the Saudi Riyal is exchanged for about 140 rials.
The US Dollar is also being exchanged for between 532 and 535 rials, amidst complaints of rising prices despite the currency's stability throughout Yemen.
These rates come amid ongoing financial challenges in both government and Houthi-controlled areas in a country facing one of the world's worst humanitarian and economic crises.
