Military Meeting in Aden Discusses Arrangements for Implementing Al-Alimi's General Mobilization Directives

A military meeting in the interim capital, Aden, on Wednesday, discussed the necessary arrangements for implementing the directives of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, regarding general mobilization and a call to arms.
The meeting was chaired by Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Taher Al-Aqili, and discussed the procedures and requirements for the upcoming phase, along with coordination mechanisms among relevant authorities, to raise readiness levels and turn political leadership directives into practical steps.
Al-Aqili stressed the importance of integration between government institutions and society and mobilizing national energies and capabilities, emphasizing that the responsibility of defending Yemen and its national gains does not fall on the military institution alone, but also includes its citizens.
The Minister of Defense stated that the Houthi group, since its takeover of state institutions, has inflicted significant damage on the Yemeni people and the country's resources, calling on Yemenis to stand with the state and the armed forces to restore its institutions and end the group's control.
He added that supporting the armed forces and the unity of Yemenis represent, he said, a fundamental pillar for ending what he described as the "coup project" and preserving the republican system and Yemen's identity.
