Explosion at Al-Ahram Power Company in Mukalla Followed by Power Outage

At dawn on Thursday, the Al-Ahram Power Company in the Al-Munawwarah area of Mukalla city, Hadramout governorate, experienced an explosion followed by rising flames and a general power outage in the city.
The causes of the explosion are not yet known. Preliminary photos showed flames rising from the company's site, amid reports of an explosion in tanks and power generators belonging to Al-Ahram Company, located next to the Economic Corporation.
The extent of the damage caused by the explosion or whether it resulted in any casualties is not yet clear.
