Prices of Gold Grams and Sovereigns in Sana'a and Aden Today, November 7, 2026

Gold prices stabilized on Saturday in Sana'a and Aden compared to previous days, despite slight variations from one shop to another.
The price of a 21-karat gold gram in Aden reached about 176,000 Yemeni rials in the new currency, while in Sana'a it reached about 61,000 rials in the old currency.
As for the gold sovereign (8 grams of 21-karat gold), its price in Aden exceeded 1,427,000 rials, while in Sana'a it surpassed 490,000 rials.
These are the prices for buying gold from citizens, while they are slightly higher when sold to customers, as a profit margin is calculated for each gram of the yellow metal.
The exchange rate of the local currency differs between Houthi-controlled areas and government-controlled areas; the exchange rate of the dollar in Sana'a is about 535 rials, compared to 1560 rials in areas under the internationally recognized government.
It is worth noting that gold prices change from time to time and vary relatively from one shop to another in the Yemeni markets, depending on global and local market movement, and supply and demand.
