Hadhramaut residents donate blood to save wounded from Al-Alam camp attack in Shabwa

The National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research on the Hadhramaut coast, along with several hospitals in Mukalla, witnessed a significant turnout of Hadhramaut residents donating blood. This was in response to an urgent appeal by the local authority in the governorate to support the wounded and injured from the attack on the Al-Alam camp in Shabwa, contributing to saving their lives and providing necessary medical supplies.
Following the directives of Presidential Leadership Council member and Hadhramaut Governor Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, the Hadhramaut Undersecretary for Youth Affairs and Civil Society Organizations, Murad Ba'alawi, along with several officials, donated blood alongside citizens. They also visited the wounded in Mukalla hospitals, supervised the reception of the injured, and checked on their health conditions and treatment needs to facilitate the provision of necessary medical care.
The Presidential Leadership Council member and Hadhramaut Governor had directed that all necessary facilities be provided for receiving the wounded and injured, and that all required support and care be offered. He also called on medically fit citizens to donate blood at the National Center for Blood Transfusion and Research and at public and private hospitals to ensure health facilities are supplied with the necessary quantities to meet the medical need.
The widespread response from the people of Hadhramaut reflected a spirit of social solidarity and the deep fraternal bonds between the people of Hadhramaut and Shabwa. Citizens initiated blood donations and supported the injured in a humanitarian stance that embodies the values of compassion and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of combined community and official efforts in facing emergencies.
The local authority in Hadhramaut called on medically fit citizens to continue responding to the blood donation appeal and to go to the relevant health centers and facilities, in coordination with the competent authorities, to contribute to saving lives and meeting the needs of the wounded and injured.
