The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for the Civil Services Sector, Major General Abdulmajid Al-Amiri, has directed the raising of readiness and preparedness levels in the Civil Defense Authority branches in the liberated governorates. This includes taking the necessary preventive measures to confront the potential effects and damages of the expected low-pressure system and climate fluctuations, in order to protect citizens' lives and property.

In a circular, he stressed the need to disseminate precautionary measures to the directors of Civil Defense branches in the liberated governorates and to raise the level of preparedness to deal with any emergencies that may result from the low-pressure system. Weather forecast centers indicate its effects may extend from several eastern governorates to most of the liberated governorates.

He urged the importance of taking measures to mitigate potential risks and enhancing the ability of Civil Defense teams to respond quickly to any reports or incidents related to weather fluctuations. He also emphasized continuous coordination with local authorities and relevant specialized bodies to ensure integrated efforts and rapid intervention when needed.

He also directed that reports be submitted to the sector's leadership, detailing the measures taken and the level of preparedness, which will help in monitoring the implementation of preventive measures and assessing readiness for climate developments.

This directive comes as part of the precautionary measures taken by the Ministry of Interior to enhance emergency preparedness and to reduce the risks that may threaten the safety of citizens and their property due to the expected low-pressure system and climate fluctuations.
