The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning reported the continuation of unstable weather conditions around the Socotra archipelago and parts of the mountainous highlands, expecting scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity over parts of several governorates in the next 24 hours.

In its weather bulletin on Wednesday, the center stated that thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by downdrafts and occasional hail, are expected over the Socotra archipelago and parts of the governorates of Lahij, Taiz, Al-Dhale, Ibb, Raymah, Dhamar, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, and parts of the Tihama plain.

Scattered showers, occasionally with thunder, are also likely over parts of the highlands of Shabwa and Abyan governorates, western parts of Amran, Sana'a, and Saada, and parts of the southern and eastern coasts.

The center warned citizens and drivers against being in valleys and flood channels, and cautioned about thunderstorms, advising them to follow safety procedures.

It also warned of reduced horizontal visibility on roads and in mountainous highlands due to clouds and fog formation.
