Shabwa: Corruption Suspicions Reveal Loss of 12,000 Oil Barrels

Exclusive information has revealed a significant loss in the quantities of crude oil transported from Sector S2 in the Al-Uqla area of Shabwa governorate to the Al-Nashima oil port in the Radhum district last August.
Sources indicated that the recorded shortfall amounted to about 12,000 barrels of the total quantities transported by trucks and unloaded in Sector 4, in preparation for pumping through the pipeline towards the Al-Nashima port.
The high volume of the loss has raised serious questions about the fate of these quantities and urgent demands for a comprehensive investigation into the oil withdrawal operations from tanks and through pipelines, in addition to a thorough review of loading, unloading, and pumping records to identify system failures and the reasons for the disappearance.
This incident places regulatory authorities under legal and ethical responsibility to uncover the circumstances of what happened, amid rising questions about the role of local authorities in Shabwa, their awareness of these violations, and the possibilities of collusion or negligence by officials in the oil and regulatory sector.
Regulatory and local circles have called for an urgent and independent investigation that includes examining the tanks of Sector 4 and the pipelines, reconciling quantities at all stages of transport, storage, and pumping, holding those involved accountable, and announcing the results to the public with full transparency.
