United Nations: Access to Taiz Severely Restricted, Conflict Affects More Families

The United Nations has warned of the escalating conflict in Yemen's ongoing impact on more families, noting that access to the southwestern city of Taiz remains severely restricted amid a shortage of essential supplies in health facilities.
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in a statement on the X platform that access to the city of Taiz remains severely restricted, pointing out that health facilities are suffering from shortages of fuel, water, and medicine.
The Office added that humanitarian partners continue to provide aid to the affected population in areas they can reach, despite the challenges and restrictions facing relief operations.
Taiz governorate is experiencing difficult humanitarian conditions due to the ongoing conflict and the years-long siege imposed on the city, resulting in restrictions on the movement of civilians and essential supplies, which exacerbates the suffering of the population and limits access to services and humanitarian aid.
