Warning of Adulterated Fuel in Houthi-Controlled Areas

A Yemeni journalist warned on Thursday about the continued circulation of adulterated fuel in markets within Houthi-controlled areas, following the arrival of a shipment at the port of Ras Issa in Hodeidah governorate.
Journalist Basim Al-Janani said in a post on his Facebook account that the adulterated gasoline shipment arrived at the port of Ras Issa last August, and that he wrote about it at the time.
He added that the Houthi-controlled oil company is currently justifying the problem by citing poor storage and a lack of sufficient tanks to store the fuel.
Al-Janani pointed out that the quantities of adulterated gasoline pumped into the markets could persist for several months, warning car owners against using the fuel during this period to ensure the safety of their vehicles.
