Defense Minister: Our Forces Control Al-Wazi'iyah Fronts, Houthis Withdraw Towards Al-Turbah
The Minister of Defense in the Yemeni government, Taher Al-Aqili, said that government forces have achieved progress and full control on the fronts of Al-Wazi'iyah district in Taiz governorate, after the Houthis withdrew from it towards the city of Al-Turbah and its surroundings, adding that "good news" will be released in the coming hours.
Al-Aqili added, in statements to Saudi media, that government forces have made continuous progress on the central, western, and eastern fronts, and that "victories are ongoing" on various axes.
He said that the Taiz fronts will be under the administration of the Yemeni government in the future, explaining that some fronts have their own special circumstances and specific timing.
The Minister of Defense continued that Sana'a "will be under control at its designated time," calling on Yemenis not to push their sons into the Houthi group's battles.
Al-Aqili affirmed that government forces "will not give up any land we gain until we reach Sana'a," while noting that it is not possible to set a date for the end of the "Dawn of Yemen" operation.
