Everton Hosts Newcastle United for League Cup Quarter-Final Spot
This Thursday evening, Newcastle United travels to face Everton in the fourth round, vying for the final spot in the English League Cup quarter-finals.
The home side enters the match after their eight-game unbeaten run to start the season was snapped by two consecutive 0-2 defeats against Chelsea and Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Newcastle ended a three-game losing streak with a victory over Crystal Palace in the previous Premier League round, climbing to eighth place in the league.
Newcastle is seeking to win the English League Cup for the second time in the past three seasons. The team has won 18 matches in the tournament.
The last six head-to-head matches between the two teams resulted in three wins for Everton, two draws, and only one defeat. However, Newcastle remains a formidable opponent in the League Cup. The team is highly confident as it aims to reach the quarter-finals for the fifth consecutive season.
