Sha'ab Hadramout lost 2-1 to its host, Qatar's Al-Duhail, in the match that brought them together on Wednesday evening at Thani bin Jassim Stadium in Doha, as part of the second round of Group Two in the Gulf Club Cup.

The Yemeni football representative delivered a strong performance against the Qatari team, managing to keep pace with them for most of the match before losing the showdown to a penalty kick in the final minutes.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, after both teams exchanged attacks and opportunities, while Sha'ab Hadramout's goalkeeper, Mohammed Aman, excelled in saving Al-Duhail's attempts.

In the second half, Sha'ab Hadramout continued its offensive attempts, but Al-Duhail managed to open the scoring in the 72nd minute.

The Yemeni team responded with an equalizer in the 83rd minute, when Aboud bin Dahman fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, bringing the match back to square one.

Just as the match was heading for a draw, Al-Duhail was awarded a penalty kick in the final minutes, which they converted into a second goal.
