Taiz Inspection Finds Fuel Price Violations, Refers Violators to Public Prosecution

The Office of Industry and Commerce in Taiz Governorate on Saturday conducted an inspection campaign on fuel stations, bakeries, and ovens, detecting pricing violations at several stations in preparation for referring the violators to the competent Public Prosecution.
The official Saba news agency quoted the director of the governorate's Office of Industry and Commerce, Abdulrahman Al-Qulaiea, as saying that the campaign compelled the violating stations to adjust their selling prices and issued citations to complete legal procedures against them.
Al-Qulaiea explained that the campaign aims to ensure adherence to the official price for regular petrol, set at 1,725 riyals per liter and 34,500 riyals for a 20-liter container.
According to the official, the campaign included a number of bakeries and ovens in the Al-Jumhuri, Al-Dhahiriyah, Al-Tahrir, and Al-Salkhanah neighborhoods to verify compliance with the official weights and prices for roti and bread.
The Office of Industry and Commerce affirmed the continuation of inspection campaigns, warning against price manipulation or the hoarding and monopolization of oil derivatives. It also called on station and bakery owners to adhere to the approved pricing and weights and urged citizens to report violations through official channels.
