Hodeidah Governor directs cash aid for 1,000 displaced families in Aden

Hodeidah Governor, Al-Hassan Taher, directed on Saturday the disbursement of cash assistance to one thousand displaced families in the temporary capital, Aden, within the next two days, as part of humanitarian interventions to address the wave of displacement caused by the Houthi group's control over several areas of the governorate.
The media office of the local authority in Hodeidah governorate stated in a statement that the governor's directives came during a meeting with the emergency committee to discuss the humanitarian developments resulting from the wave of displacement, and to review the level of implementation of interventions and measures taken to address its repercussions.
The office clarified that the aid will cover displaced families in the districts of Al-Mansoura, Seera, Al-Mualla, Khormaksar, and Al-Tawahi in the temporary capital, Aden, following the disbursement of financial aid to 700 displaced families in recent weeks in the districts of Ras Al-Ara and Khor Amira in Lahj governorate, and the Dar Saad district in Aden.
The governor stressed the importance of continuing efforts and intensifying humanitarian interventions to keep pace with the increasing needs of displaced families, enhancing coordination with local authorities in host governorates and relevant bodies, ensuring aid reaches its recipients, and alleviating the suffering of the displaced under the current humanitarian conditions.
