Al-Mahra: Director of Agriculture Stresses Importance of Agricultural Investment
Today, the Director-General of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office in the governorate, Saeed Ali Al-Qumairi, conducted a field visit to the palm farm owned by investor Al-Jadahi in Al-Masilah District. He was accompanied by the Director of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office's Al-Masilah branch, Mr. Saeed Bakthir, and the Director of the Prevention Department, Engineer Mohammed Rubaihan, to inspect the farm's conditions and the level of agricultural activity.
During the visit, the delegation toured the farm and listened to an explanation about the cultivation and care of palm trees, and the efforts being made to improve production and develop agricultural processes.
Engineer Al-Qumairi praised the good standard of the farm, stressing that quality agricultural investments are a cornerstone for supporting sustainable agricultural development, contributing to the utilization of available resources, increasing production levels, and achieving added economic value for the local community.
He noted that palm cultivation is a promising agricultural sector in Al-Masilah District and the governorate in general, due to its suitable natural components and significant investment opportunities. He called for encouraging more investors to pursue agricultural investment and expand productive projects that enhance food security and create job opportunities for youth.
The Director-General of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office affirmed the office's commitment to providing technical support and guidance to farmers and investors, and to working to overcome challenges facing the agricultural sector in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable agricultural and economic development.
This visit comes as part of the Agriculture and Irrigation Office leadership's interest in monitoring model projects and farms, encouraging successful agricultural investments, and enhancing the role of the agricultural sector in achieving comprehensive development in the governorate.
