Thunderstorms expected over western highlands and parts of Hadramaut and Shabwa

Yemen's Weather Forecasting and Early Warning Center predicted on Saturday thunderstorms over various areas of the mountainous highlands and western slopes, and parts of the Hadramaut and Shabwa governorates.
In its daily weather bulletin, the center reported that coastal areas and those nearby will experience hot weather during the day and moderate temperatures at night and in the early morning, with partial clouds and a chance of scattered rain over the Socotra archipelago and the western coastal plains.
It noted active winds on the southwestern and western coasts and Bab al-Mandab, while the weather in the mountainous highlands will be partly cloudy with moderate temperatures.
It warned that the desert and plateau regions will experience dry and clear to partly cloudy weather, hot during the day and moderate at night, with moderate to active winds that may stir up sand and dust.
The center advised citizens, especially children and the elderly in mountainous areas, to take necessary precautions against the cold weather during the night and early morning hours.
