Former Shabwah Governor Mohammed Saleh bin Adyo said on Sunday that the governorate has offered convoys of martyrs on all fronts, while also warning against exploiting the blood of the victims.

On his X platform account, he wrote: "When pure blood is shed, values are tested. We are in a society that cherishes its values, and one of the noblest is to be magnanimous in our handling of situations and events in general, especially in difficult and critical times, and most particularly in responsibly dealing with sacrifices, blood, and the pain of the bereaved."

Bin Adyo warned that "only a trader devoid of conscience would exploit the blood of victims and the pain of their families for any gain."

He continued: "For 12 years, our country has been living through a war imposed by the Houthi militia on the people and the nation. Shabwah was and remains at the heart of the battle, offering convoys of martyrs and continuing to give the precious blood of its sons on all fronts in fulfillment of national duty."

He went on to say: "Shabwah and the nation have lost dozens of martyrs and hundreds of wounded young men in the prime of their lives, who were performing their national duty when the Al-Alam camp was targeted in a horrific scene that reminds us exactly of what the instruments of crime do in this world. This clearly confirms that the slogans being promoted under the pretext of supporting the nation's causes are pure fabrication, and that murderous criminals have similar behaviors even if their pretexts differ. It also confirms what has become firm, established, and certain: that the Houthi militia possesses a huge reserve of criminality that targets all the people of Yemen without any regard for values or morals."

He added: "Shabwah is united by the situation, and its people forget their differences in the face of danger. This is how it always is, and how it has been in every difficult circumstance. The community's reaction, which showed scenes of solidarity and support following the criminal incident at Al-Alam camp, was not an exception, but an inherent trait. The entire community came together, joined by all the people of the nation, especially the generous Hadramout with its authorities and society, who had an appreciated and thanked position in healing this wound."

He continued: "Honoring these sacrifices requires moving from the stage of confronting the shock of the crime to learning lessons, evaluating, and correcting. Battles are initially managed with a unified front, a cohesive will, a mobilization of energies, and everyone fulfilling their duties with full responsibility."

He noted that "the targeting of the nation by the Houthi militia in Shabwah, Aden, Mukalla, steadfast Taiz, resistant Lahij, noble Ma'rib, and all governorates under militia attack, along with the targeting of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reinforces the unity of the battle and the interconnected destiny that will lead to a near victory, with God's help."

He concluded by saying: "Mercy for the righteous martyrs, sincere condolences to their families, healing for the wounded, and victory for our patient Yemeni people."
