Hadhramaut: Complaints of Domestic Gas Cylinder Price Hike to 13,000 Riyals

Local sources reported on Sunday that the price of a domestic gas cylinder has risen to 13,000 rials at several selling stations in the Hadhramaut coast.
According to the sources, this represents an increase of 5,000 rials over the official price set at 8,000 rials.
The sources added that the official price includes transport, tax, and fee costs, noting that the governorate relies on local gas from Ma'rib, not on imported gas.
The reasons for the price increase remain unclear, amid questions about the role of local authorities and regulatory bodies in controlling prices and preventing violations of the official tariff.
