Coalition Vows Firm Response to Houthi Attack on King Khalid International Airport
The Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen said on Sunday that the attack targeting King Khalid International Airport in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, is a terrorist act, stressing that the response will be firm.
In a press statement, the Coalition forces quoted their official spokesman, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, as saying that the attack carried out by the Houthi militia on Saturday, which targeted a passenger terminal at the airport, resulted in deaths and injuries among civilian travelers and staff.
Al-Maliki considered that the targeting of the airport, and the resulting human losses, amounts to a full-fledged war crime, according to international humanitarian law and its customary rules, and is contrary to principles, values, and morals.
He stressed that the leadership of the Coalition's Joint Forces will respond firmly to this attack, in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
