On Monday, the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the continuation of the "Dawn of Yemen" operation until the Houthi group's coup is ended, state institutions are restored, and its authority is extended over all Yemeni territory, praising the progress made by the armed forces and popular resistance on several battlefronts.

This came during a meeting held by the council, chaired by Rashad Al-Alimi and attended by all its members, to discuss military, security, and humanitarian developments. The meeting addressed the escalation of Houthi missile and drone attacks on state institutions and civilian facilities, and their expanded shelling of cities and villages, coinciding with the continued siege of Taiz and the targeting of its residential neighborhoods.

The meeting reviewed field reports on the progress of military operations on various fronts and the advances made by government forces and popular resistance, with support from the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, on the Al-Jawf, Marib, and West Coast fronts, in addition to what the council described as resilience on the Taiz fronts.

The council praised the performance of the armed forces, security, military formations, and popular resistance in countering Houthi attacks and inflicting losses in life and equipment. It also valued the Saudi support for government forces and the Kingdom's role in assisting Yemen at the military, humanitarian, and developmental levels.

In a briefing presented by Al-Alimi, the council members were updated on the results of his communications and consultations with regional and international leaders and officials regarding coordinating the response to the humanitarian crisis, supporting state institutions, halting the flow of weapons to the Houthis, and protecting the security of Yemen and the region.

The meeting also addressed Houthi attacks on civilian targets in Saudi Arabia and the threats to waterways and international navigation, in the context of the escalating situation in the country and the region.

The council renewed its call to citizens in Houthi-controlled areas to not involve their children in the fighting and to reject recruitment, polarization, and cooperation with the group's military and security activities. It emphasized that the door for safe return is open to those who lay down their arms and stop fighting in its ranks, in accordance with announced procedures.

On the humanitarian side, the council praised the efforts of the government, local authorities, and host communities in receiving and sheltering the displaced, as well as popular initiatives and relief convoys. It called for increased support, provision of food, water, medicine, and shelter, and ensuring that aid reaches its intended recipients.
