Commander of Joint Forces Meets Tareq Saleh in Riyadh
The Commander of the Saudi Joint Forces, Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Salman, met with Presidential Leadership Council member Tareq Saleh in Riyadh. This marks Saleh's first meeting and public appearance since the events in Mocha.
According to a statement from the Saudi Joint Forces, the meeting reviewed developments in the Yemeni scene and discussed ways to enhance coordination between the two sides to support the readiness of the Yemeni Armed Forces on all axes and fronts, as part of efforts to restore the state and its national institutions.
Lieutenant General Al-Salman expressed his gratitude to Tareq Saleh for his leadership role in the Presidential Leadership Council, commending the great sacrifices made by the National Resistance Forces and their members in the battle to restore the state and end the coup.
For his part, Tareq Saleh praised the pivotal role of the Joint Forces command and the unlimited support it has provided to the Yemeni Armed Forces and the National Resistance Forces to enhance their capabilities. He also commended the efforts made to unify ranks and rehabilitate the forces to perform their national duties.
Tareq Saleh affirmed his confidence in the members of the Yemeni Armed Forces and their firm resolve to perform their duties, stressing the importance of continuing to enhance readiness, coordination, and integration of efforts in line with the requirements of the next phase.
Both sides emphasized the importance of unity, consolidating efforts, integrating roles, and continuing joint work to boost morale, rehabilitate units, and increase their combat readiness, in order to achieve the Yemeni people's aspirations for restoring security and stability and building the future.
