Meteorology Center Predicts Thunderstorms in Coming Hours
The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has predicted scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity over several governorates in the next 24 hours.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by downdrafts, are expected in the governorates of Amran, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Al Dhale'e, Lahij, the Tihama plain, and the western coast.
Scattered showers, sometimes with thunder, are also possible over the highlands of Al Bayda, Abyan, Shabwah, Hadramaut, and the Socotra archipelago.
The center warned citizens and drivers to avoid valleys and flood channels, and to be cautious of thunderstorms and reduced visibility on roads and mountain highlands due to clouds and fog formation, advising them to follow safety procedures.
