Yemen's Youth Team to Face Palestine and Syria in Red, Lebanon in White at West Asia Championship
The preparatory technical meeting for the 13th West Asia U-17 Championship, scheduled to be held in Jordan from September 26 to October 6, took place this Friday at the W Hilton Hotel in Aqaba, Jordan.
The meeting was attended by the national team managers. Group A includes the teams of Yemen, Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon, while Group B includes Jordan, Oman, and the UAE.
The meeting discussed the technical and organizational aspects and arrangements related to the matches, in addition to reviewing the tournament's regulations and instructions, and approving the primary and alternate kits for the teams and the colors of the goalkeepers' attire.
The referees' committee also reviewed the latest updates and amendments to the laws of football, along with refereeing cases and instructions for match management.
The national youth team will begin its tournament journey tomorrow, Saturday, facing its Palestinian counterpart at 5:00 PM Yemen time, wearing the all-red kit, while the goalkeeper will appear in an all-black kit.
The national team will continue to wear the all-red kit in its second match against Syria, scheduled for Monday, September 28, before playing its third match against Lebanon in the all-white kit.
The national team was represented at the coordination meeting by team manager Saeed Al-Khawlani and team administrator Dhia Ba-Wazir, where the technical and organizational arrangements for the team's participation in the tournament were finalized.
