Yemeni Embassy in Cairo Reveals Details of General's Death
The Yemeni Embassy in Egypt on Sunday revealed the circumstances surrounding the death of Brigadier General Mohammed Ali Mahdi Hadi in a hotel in the southern city of Aswan, confirming that initial findings indicate no criminal suspicion in the death.
In a statement, the embassy said it is "following the circumstances of the death of Brigadier General Mohammed Ali Mahdi Hadi in a hotel in the Egyptian city of Aswan."
It added: "Based on the initial follow-up, the embassy would like to clarify that there is no criminal suspicion, and we are awaiting the results of the forensic report to determine the cause of death."
It clarified that an embassy representative is in Aswan to follow up on the investigation results.
The embassy extended its "sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and all his loved ones," confirming it is following up on the matter with all concerned authorities in Egypt.
