Agency: Iranian Revolutionary Guard experts visited Bab al-Mandab to discuss installing radars and digging tunnels
Experts from the Iranian "Revolutionary Guard" working with the Houthi group visited the Bab al-Mandab region to discuss installing radars and supervising the digging of tunnels in the hills overlooking the strait, as reported by Agence France-Presse on Saturday, citing two military sources from the group.
The two sources said the experts visited Bab al-Mandab, the port and airport of Mocha, and the Jabal al-Nar camp east of the city, after arriving from Hodeidah governorate, during two separate visits on Thursday and Friday.
They added that they supervised the digging of tunnels in the hills overlooking Mocha and Bab al-Mandab, and discussed installing radars near Mocha and on Zuqar Island in the southern Red Sea.
There has been no comment from the Houthis or Iran on this matter.
