Minister of Technical Education Arrives in Al-Mahra to Inspect Training Institutions and Assess Needs
The Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Anwar Mohammed Kalshat Al-Mahri, arrived today in Al-Mahra governorate on an official visit to review the state of technical education and vocational training institutions and their needs, as part of the ministry's plan to inspect vocational institutes and centers in the liberated governorates.
Upon his arrival at Al-Ghaydah International Airport, the minister was received by the Secretary-General of the Local Council of the governorate, Salem Abdullah Nimer, First Deputy Governor Brigadier General Mukhtar bin Awidh Al-Jaafari, and the Director-General of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Office in the governorate, Mohammed Shalyan Belhaf, along with the leadership of Al-Mahra University and a number of officials and executive and security leaders.
During the visit, Kalshat is scheduled to hold a meeting with the local authority leadership, headed by Al-Mahra Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser, to discuss the conditions of the technical education sector, the needs of vocational institutes and centers, and ways to enhance cooperation between the ministry and the local authority.
He will also meet with the leadership of the Technical Education and Vocational Training office and its administrative and educational staff to discuss the challenges facing the sector, the need to develop training programs, and the possibility of creating new vocational and technical specializations that meet the needs of the local labor market and support youth qualification.
The visit comes as part of the government's efforts to enhance the role of technical and vocational education in economic and social development, improve the infrastructure of training institutions, and provide the necessary equipment and personnel.
