Al-Alimi Discusses Latest Developments in Yemen with Omani Foreign Minister
On Thursday, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi Ba Wazir, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments in Yemen with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, held at the United Nations headquarters, the two sides discussed the brotherly relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Yemen, and ways to support the work of the joint committee concerned with developing the exchange of experiences and strengthening partnership and mutual benefits between the two countries and peoples.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts being made to support a path of consensus among the various Yemeni parties and components, in a way that contributes to achieving peace and harmony.
Both sides emphasized the importance of creating suitable conditions for launching a Yemeni dialogue that leads to a comprehensive and consensual political settlement, meeting the aspirations of the Yemeni people and preserving Yemen's unity, sovereignty, security, and stability.
The meeting coincides with the participation of Yemen and the Sultanate of Oman in the proceedings of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York.
